We have seen many cases where a machine ship has forgotten to install it. Located at the back of the engine block, this plug covers the rear journal of the camshaft. Without it, you will have a decent oil leak, and because it is covered by the bell housing, it is difficult to install once the drivetrain is installed. Avoid the headache and buy one for your next engine rebuild.
